IntelCue Is Now an Official ChatGPT App
A Faster Way Into ChatGPT
IntelCue just shipped an official app in ChatGPT's Plugins directory. Instead of opening developer settings and pasting a server URL by hand, you now search for IntelCue by name, click add, and sign in. The competitive and market intelligence IntelCue already pulls from newsletters, blogs, patents, SEC filings, Google Ads, and Certificate Transparency logs is two clicks away from any ChatGPT conversation.
What Changed
Until now, connecting IntelCue to ChatGPT meant opening Settings, flipping on Developer Mode, browsing the plugin catalog, and filling out a custom connector form by hand, including picking "No Auth" from a dropdown and pasting a full MCP server URL with your API key baked into it. It worked, but it was a lot of steps for something that should take thirty seconds.
The new IntelCue app removes all of that. It's listed publicly in ChatGPT's Plugins directory alongside other apps, and connecting it now looks like signing into any SaaS product: click add, click "Sign in with IntelCue," paste your API key once, and you're done. The underlying connection still runs on Model Context Protocol (MCP), the open standard Anthropic introduced for linking AI assistants to external data. Publishing to the directory changed how you find and start the connection. It didn't change what IntelCue sends ChatGPT: the same trending topics, competitive alerts, keyword data, and Front Page briefings, scoped to your workspace and nobody else's.
How to Connect It
- Go to chatgpt.com and log in.
- Click Plugins in the left sidebar.
- Search for IntelCue and click the + next to it.
- In the "Add IntelCue to ChatGPT" dialog, click Sign in with IntelCue.
- Paste your IntelCue API key, found on the Connect page in your dashboard, and click Connect.
That's the entire setup. No Developer Mode toggle, no server URL to copy correctly, no dropdown to remember to set to "No Auth." A full walkthrough with screenshots lives on the Competitive Intelligence in ChatGPT post, which we updated to match the new flow.
What You Can Ask Once You're Connected
Once IntelCue is signed in, ChatGPT can pull from your live workspace inside any conversation. A few prompts that map to how founders and marketers actually work:
- "What are my competitors announcing this week?" pulls competitive alerts ranked by severity, not a generic web search.
- "What topics are trending in my market right now?" surfaces momentum scores and mention counts instead of a hunch.
- "Draft a LinkedIn post from this week's top trending topic." turns a signal into a draft in the same chat.
- "Pull my latest Front Page brief and summarize it." gets the weekly synthesis without opening a dashboard.
Say a growth lead at a company the size of Notion wants a competitive read before a Monday standup. Instead of opening five browser tabs, they ask ChatGPT directly, and the answer comes from sources IntelCue has actually been monitoring, not from what a model absorbed during training.
Built for Founders and Lean Teams, Not Enterprise Buying Committees
IntelCue was built for founders, marketing leaders, and growth teams who need real competitive intelligence without hiring an analyst or signing an annual enterprise contract. Klue and Crayon are built for revenue teams running formal battlecard programs. IntelCue is built for the person who needs an answer this afternoon, not a quarterly review deck. At $8.99 a month, flat, with every source type and the full ChatGPT and Claude integration included, it's built to be the most cost-effective competitive intelligence platform available to a startup that can't justify a five-figure CI contract. Cost doesn't scale with how many competitors, sources, or seats you add. It stays flat.
That matters more now that the AI connection is this easy to set up. A tool that's cheap to license but hard to actually use isn't cost-effective. A tool a founder can turn on in two clicks and start using inside a conversation they're already having is.
One Workspace, Every Channel That Actually Matters
The ChatGPT app surfaces everything IntelCue already tracks. If your focus is Competitive Intelligence, that's newsletters, blogs, patents, SEC filings, and news mentions, synthesized into trends and alerts you can query by asking. If you're watching ad spend, Google Ads Transparency tracks what competitors are actually running, pulled from Google's own BigQuery Transparency dataset. When a competitor quietly ships something before announcing it, Certificate Transparency tracking catches new subdomains the moment a certificate is issued, often weeks before a public launch. Website Change Tracker catches pricing page and messaging edits competitors would rather you not notice. Newsletter Tracker reads every competitor newsletter for you, using a unique capture address instead of your own inbox.
And if you're not tracking competitors at all, Personal Branding turns the same monitoring into ready-to-post content: real market signals, patents, new subdomains, and ad campaigns, turned into drafts in your own voice. Set your workspace focus to personal branding and ChatGPT becomes a research assistant that already knows what's happening in your industry.
Every one of these channels is queryable the same way. Ask ChatGPT a plain question, and IntelCue answers from your live data instead of a static report someone forgot to update.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I add IntelCue to ChatGPT?
Search for IntelCue in ChatGPT's Plugins directory and click the + button next to it. Click Sign in with IntelCue in the dialog that opens, paste your IntelCue API key from the Connect page, and click Connect. No Developer Mode or custom connector setup is required.
Do I need a paid ChatGPT plan to use the IntelCue app?
No. IntelCue is listed as a regular app in ChatGPT's Plugins directory, not a custom developer connector, so there's no Developer Mode toggle or plan-gated setup to get past. Search for it, add it, and sign in.
Is the IntelCue ChatGPT app different from the MCP connection in Claude?
No. Both run on the same Model Context Protocol server and return the same data. The ChatGPT app just changes how you discover and start the connection: you search for it in ChatGPT's Plugins directory instead of pasting a server URL, similar to how Claude Desktop's custom connector works.
What data can ChatGPT see once IntelCue is connected?
Only what your workspace has monitored: trending topics, competitive alerts, keywords, newsletter and blog content, patents, SEC filings, and your weekly Front Page brief. Every response is scoped to your authenticated workspace, so nothing outside your own tracked sources is exposed.
How much does IntelCue cost?
IntelCue is $8.99 a month, flat, for full platform access, including every source type and the ChatGPT and Claude integration. There are no tiers, no per-seat fees, and no annual contract, which is what makes it practical for a founder or a two-person marketing team to run alongside the AI tools they already use.
